Alexis Berny

Research Engineer, PhD

Alexis Berny is a research engineer who joined the Cathare team in October 2020.

He originally studied solid and continuum mechanics at ENS-Cachan, before a specialization in fluid mechanics for his master degrees. He then made a PhD at Institut Jean le Rond D'Alembert on the simulation of bursting bubbles at the surface of different liquids.

He is specialized in physical modelization and simulation, especially for multiphase flow. Within the Cathare team, he works on physical modeling and validation (counter current flow limitation, 0D model, 3 fields model…). He works on the improvement of existing model and also on the development of new physical model within the Cathare code.
