Thibaut Lopez holds an engineering diploma (master's degree) in nuclear energy engineering from Grenoble INP, France. He joined the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) as a thermal-hydraulics research engineer in 2016. He works on the development and the validation of physical models in the code CATHARE and its maintenance. For Pressurized Water Reactors, he was in charge of the extension of the validation of core reflooding and continue to develop and validate the interfacial friction in rod bundle geometry (core and steam generator). For containment model, he has contributed to a new mecanistic spray model and worked on film condensation on wall, in particular for 3D-containment. He teaches nuclear reactor model on thermalhydraulics system code at Grenoble INP.
