Timo Bouvard holds an engineering diploma (master's degree) in mechanical and energetics engineering from Ense3 - Grenoble INP, France. He is specialized in fluid mechanics and numerical simulation, and had several experiences in the field of hydraulic turbomachines. In the framework of his final internship at General Electric Renewable Energy, he performed CFD calculations in pump-turbines, in order to predict the occurrence of complex hydrodynamic instabilities. After graduating in 2020, he joined the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), as a thermal-hydraulics research engineer. In charge of the modeling of turbomachines and pumps components in the CATHARE code, he currently works on a cryogenic piston pump model for hydrogen transport application.
